The Assistant Store Manager is a vital leadership role, acting as the right hand to the Store Director. Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated, people-focused leader to help run our daily operations. As an Assistant Store Manager, you will oversee multiple departments, drive sales initiatives, and ensure the store is "grand opening ready" every single day. You will serve as the floor general, delivering the signature reliability that sets Jewel-Osco apart in the grocery industry. This is a highly active, floor-based management role designed for leaders who lead by example.

Comprehensive Responsibilities

• Total Store Operations: Assist the Store Director in overseeing all aspects of store operations, from the fresh perimeter (Meat, Produce, Bakery) to the center store.
• Team Leadership: Coach, train, and develop department managers and associates, fostering a positive, inclusive, and high-performance culture.
• Merchandising & Sales: Execute corporate merchandising plans, ensuring endcaps and promotional displays are fully stocked, correctly priced, and visually appealing.
• Shrink & Profitability: Monitor inventory levels, enforce strict food safety and cold-chain compliance, and implement strategies to minimize shrink and waste.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age upon application.
• No college degree required; 2+ years of retail, grocery, or hospitality leadership experience is strictly required.

• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, and remain highly active on the sales floor.
