Job Summary

We are seeking analytical, highly driven professionals to manage an area portfolio. As an Area Manager, you will lead a team of Store Managers, audit store performance, and implement corporate strategies across your territory. You will serve as the crucial link between corporate headquarters and the frontlines, delivering the signature consistency that sets Save Mart apart in the grocery industry. This role requires travel within the assigned area and strong operational planning.

Comprehensive Responsibilities

• Area P&L: Manage the aggregated profit and loss for your stores, identifying financial trends and aggressively coaching Store Managers on margin improvements and labor controls.
• Operational Auditing: Conduct regular store walks to audit merchandising standards, freshness compliance, and overall store conditions.
• Talent Strategy: Act as the chief talent officer for the area, managing the succession pipeline, interviewing management candidates, and facilitating leadership training.
• Initiative Execution: Roll out new corporate initiatives, ensuring 100% execution across all locations and providing feedback to corporate teams on local market challenges.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age upon application.
• No college degree required; 4+ years of multi-unit retail management or highly successful General Manager experience is strictly required.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to hold managers accountable to strict corporate standards.
